CHARACTERISTICS

RESIN 74’s® copolymer base is extremely fine to produce very smooth cast surfaces.

RESIN 74® burns completely avoiding residues after burnout which may alter core structure.

RESIN 74® gives the dentist enough time to work out and define the pattern.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

DIRECT TECHNIQUE FOR CORE PATTERNS

Pour a small portion of powder into one dappen dish and a small amount of liquid into another.

Dry cavity of tooth and coat with a thin film of lubricant to facilitate removal of pattern.

Dip a brush in liquid and then into powder to pick up a bead on tip of brush. Place in base of cavity, and fill in remainder of preparation.

When pattern is set, check bite, trim margins to desired form and finish to desired shape in or out of the mount, with a bur, disk or rubber points.

For casting put the pattern in a sprue or mold using wax; invest and cast as usual. RESIN 74® will burn completely in 40 minutes at 800ºF without trace.

INDIRECT TECHNIQUE

The aforementioned method can be used. It is also precise and quick and can be easily used for patterns on plaster. Apply lube on the model and build using a small amount of RESIN 74®.

In M.O.D. Patterns it is recommended to use a matrix band for three-quarter crowns and full crowns. The matrix band will easily separate from the RESIN 74®, as soon as the material is fully cured.

Shape and adapt pattern as desired. Place pattern again and check it. Add contact points using RESIN 74®.

WEAK POINTS

If weak points are found in the preparation, it will be necessary to polish the pattern to remove them. Adjust preparation and rebuild pattern.
